The power has been out of the building for 5 days, which we found out only after we showed up to move our unit out. Mind you, this property is advertised as being temperature-controlled, which it is now laughably not, as even the elevator is down. Nobody from the headquarters or the property communicated this issue to anyone who holds a unit here. When we called headquarters, they offered absolutely no viable solution to this continuing issue, only pointing to the fire escape staircase to access our unit on the fifth floor. Management has not offered any alternatives to move our furnitures out of the storage. The worst part of this is that everyone representing the company has been shifting blame to someone else without focusing on solving the issue. This was been a terrible experience, and we are still without a solution! We had rented a truck to move our belongings, and we may incur additional costs due to this problem.

It's a storage unit. The location is a little more expensive than comparable places I've used before, but it's got all basic amenities. No complaints.

Horrific and extensive rodent damage. I’m active military and I returned to my unit after a two year absence to find my belongings destroyed by rodents. Droppings everywhere, boxes chewed up, furniture and bags stained, evidence that rodents had nested and burrowed in my unit. The management said they had received reports of this “a while ago” on several other units but the issue went away. Well I was never informed, and whichever units the rodents got chased away from they all clearly went into mine. Since uncovering this issue the management has comped me 3 months of storage, additional actions “pending assessment of damage,” but since that conversation has been frustratingly slow to respond. If you store here be prepared to do your own pest control, and be prepared to be proactive in chasing down correspondence from management.

CubeSmart is clean and friendly. A lot of storage places are very sketchy. CubeSmart is helping to break that stereotype.

I reserved my unit online, was emailed instructions to finish the reservation within the hour, and was able to move in the next day. The location is convenient, the place at carts by every door for move in to upper level floors and is very secure with codes being used on the gate, doors, and elevator to limit access to only the floor where your unit is. All in all a great experience.

Personally saw a rat inside my unit after visiting after 8 months, in addition to lots of rat droppings. Extremely frustrating, as I had been expecting a generally clean facility with robust pest control if required, after moving out of a pest-free 18th floor apartment. Am simply storing furniture, electronics, clothing and kitchenware inside the unit. Additionally, local or regional management failed to reply to my inquiry as promised, and had to leave the state to return to work. I am still left wondering what will be done to remedy the situation. The idea of rats rummaging through all my boxes and items sucks, to say the least. To top it off, prices have increased across the board as well. If I had any indication that this storage facility had pest issues, I would have never rented this storage unit.

This is my first experience with storage units and I'm very impressed so far with Cube Smart. Very clean space, easy to navigate to and from my unit, and helpful staff. The only drawback is that they close too early on Sundays and only had one person working, and I felt they needed a second person on a busy weekend day for people moving.

The staff took lots of time with us to help us be sure we had the right size unit for our storage. They were very responsive and answered all questions and concerns to our satisfaction, and we are fussy! The building is new and well-finished, and security is excellent. I was particularly impressed with the neatness of the floor areas and lighting.

This was the easiest part of our move. I reserved through sparefoot and someone from CubeSmart called to follow up. I let them know I might be coming later than the reservation date and that was no problem at all. They greeted me by name when I arrived and the facility was much nicer than I expected. It seemed very secure and was really clean and nice. The manager was friendly and helpful, we ended up needed a bigger unit which also no problem. Getting the paperwork done was also quick and the prices seemed very reasonable compared to other facilities. I was really impressed.

Excellent customer service! Our family was looking for a place to store my daughters things before she moves into school in the fall. The facility has only been open for a few months, so it is sparkling clean. We were greeted by friendly, professional and helpful staff. The process of moving in was seemless. Only a few short minutes from Georgetiwn. Would recommend.

I thought I had great customer service. He showed me the locker first. Then when I realized it was too small, he easily switched me to a nearby locker that was bigger. He told me all my rights. He let me punch in the code so I understood how it worked. It was very clean inside. I was appreciative for all the help and quick service.

My experience with CubeSmart so far has been overall positive. The process of moving and storing can be very complicated and stressful, but the staff at CubeSmart was clear about pricing and knowledgable. I loved that I could use their moving truck for free, too! However, the only thing I suggest doing is calling ahead to book the truck. Online it doesn't require this, but the truck may be out of the facility unless you book in advance.
